“Volunteering is an act of heroism on a grand scale. And it matters profoundly. It does more than help people beat the odds; it changes the odds.”

— President Bill Clinton

Volunteers are the backbone of our services.

There are so many ways to volunteer at Shelter from the Storm. Help out on our hotline, donate your expert skills, or come help us during our events. Any way you volunteer, your time makes such a difference!

Volunteers make all the difference.

Our advocates work hard every day to be available for survivors and our volunteers work hard to support not only our survivors but also our advocates in multiple ways!

We have a volunteer path that fits your time.

Reach out today and find out which pathway fits the way in which you want to give.

Are you a college student that would like to fill some hours? Come in for a special event! No training is needed, just a willingness to make friends and roll up your sleeves.

Do you need social work experience to apply for graduate programs, or in order to take that next step in your job? Help us on our Hotline: we have specialized training and will help you learn how to assist survivors through crisis and getting them the help they need.

If you have experience in almost any field, you could donate your skills in construction, office organization, technology, etc. with just a short training.
